Current Exhibitions with Gallery Artists

Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard's exhibition "Radio Mania: An Abandoned Work," commissioned by BFI Southbank runs at the gallery in London from May 7th until July 11th, 2009.

Guest curated by Steven Holmes, Kelly Mark's work is in the group exhibition entitled "The Endless Renaissance" at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach, running April 17th through August 16th.

Aaron Carpenter's work was in a group exhibition entitled "Literally" curated by Melanie O'Brian at Artspeak gallery.

Lucy Pullen's work was in the group show entitled "Blue Like an Orange" curated by Emily Palvey at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Ottawa.

Curated by Paul Kajander the group exhibition entitled "Transcontinental Divide" at Gallery 101 in Ottawa included work by Ron Tran.

Curated by Melanie O'Brian as an OFFSITE extension of the "Literally" exhibition at Artspeak, Aaron Carpenter's new video, "Ffinnigans Wwake," was shown on the Bonnis Media CoreVision dual outdoor screens at the intersection of Robson and Granville Streets during May. (The Artspeak OFFSITE project was co-presented with Other Sights for Artists' Projects.)

Temple Bar Gallery in Dublin is exhibting Volume 5, the fifth installment of an ongoing series of shows dealing with sound. The fifth show in the series focuses on sound as it relates to memory and text and features work by Peter Maybury & David Donohoe (Ireland), Angela Detanico & Rafael Lain (Brazil) and Kathy Slade (Canada). Volume 5 is curated by Irish artist Dennis McNulty.

Curated by Micah Lexier "Here, Now or Nowhere" at the Prairie Art Gallery Grand Prairie, Alberta included a Glow House work by Kelly Mark.

Work by Kim Kennedy Austin and Ron Tran was in LOCAL, an exhibition of 22 artists curated by Lee Plested that took place in the offices of Fillip during the first two weekends of December.

Arcadia University Art Gallery, Glenside PA presented new work by Lucy Pullen in a group show curated by Sheryl Conkelton called "A Closer Look 7."

A solo exhibition entitled "Summerland" of a new film and paintings by Shannon Oksanen was on at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver.

Kim Kennedy Austin and Robert Arndt had work in "The Subject of Education," a group exhibition curated by Jonathan Middleton that brought together a group of Emily Carr alumni working along pedagogical themes.

Kelly Mark's solo exhibition "Stupid Heaven", curated by Barbara Fischer, was at Vox Contemporary in Montreal, September 6 to October 18th, 2008.

Vikky Alexander's solo show "Lost Horizons" opened at Trepanier Baer in Calgary on September 11 and ran until October 11, 2008.

Commissioned by Wayne Baerwaldt, Kelly Mark's six channel projection work entitled "HORRORIDOR" will be at Union Station the night of October 4th as part of Baerwaldt's Zone B exhibition for Nuit Blanche.
